5 tips
I’ve analysed thousands of sales videos and run hundreds of training sessions on creating videos and these are the common mistakes I see:
Sellers just take selfie videos and don’t share screen
If they do share screen, they share something relevant to their product but not their customer
Their videos are long and boring
Sellers send 5 videos with no response, give up, and then say videos don’t work
Here’s what you should be doing instead:
If you’re going to put the effort into filming a video, make sure you’re sharing screen on something worth showing. It should capture your prospect’s attention and be about them - their website, their social media, their content. Not yours!
Aim for a relaxed tone. Be prepared with notes but don’t read from a script so you don’t sound robotic
Keep videos short and sweet. Aim for less than a minute!
Increase your click rate by setting a relevant title, sharing a thumbnail, sharing across channels, bumping, and also creating curiosity with a line of text
Perfectionism is the enemy of progress, so don’t spend more than 10 minutes on any video
