Next steps
My favourite line
Every sales trainer will tell you to book next steps at the end of a call for qualified leads.
But saying it and achieving it are 2 different things.
My favourite line to position next steps is:
"Here's what I'd suggest..."
It's not too pushy or submissive. It strikes a balance between confidence and humility.
Pushy sellers will corner their buyer with:
❌ "I'll send you an invite for X date"
With no option to opt out.
Submissive sellers will ask:
❌ "Is it OK if we schedule a call on Y date?"
Showing a lack of confidence.
Openly, I was a very submissive seller when I started out. But over time, as I grew in confidence and became more detached from each deal, I learned the suggestion line.
"Here's what I'd suggest" shows you're self assured and believe in your product.
But as just a suggestion, your prospect can opt out and not feel cornered.
Cheers,
