LinkedIn Comments

What to write

Commenting on social media posts should be a key part of your sequences. A VP may get 200 sales emails a week but may only get 5-10 comments on their LinkedIn post, so this is a less convoluted way to get someone’s attention.

It’ll only be relevant for some leads as only 5% of LinkedIn users regularly post, but for the ones that do, it’s a nice way to stand out.

But don’t leave a generic comment like “Great post.” Show that you took time to absorb the content and leave something meaningful.

Here’s an example where a sales leader had posted an article about 1-on-1s:

“Keith - Love the article you. The thing I agree the most with is telling your team in 1:1s that you’re going to empower them and challenge them”

A side benefit of this is that you can then reference that post in your emails, calls and other mediums.

I’ve had leads that have ghosted me for weeks but after I leave them a LinkedIn comment, they get back in touch.
