introducing yourself
How to do it
"I have 15 years experience in..." is a rubbish intro.
It's also a poor way to build credibility in any type of call as:
1) Your 15 years could have been a consistent failure and mediocrity
2) It's banging your chest with 0 relevance
A much better way is to SHOW your 15 years of experience, NOT TELL IT:
What have you learned in those 15 years?
What are the biggest challenges you've seen?
How has the market evolved?
What stories do you have?
PS, here's an example I use in my intro:
"I set up Growth Genie in 2019 as automation tools led to a culture of spray and pray. This meant many salespeople sent the same template to thousands of prospects but with 0 relevance to them.
So buyers were overwhelmed with spam. 5 Years later this problem is even worse now with AI. The 1st thing I teach in training is if a salesperson can't show they'll invest 5 minutes researching a buyer, why should that buyer give them 5 minutes?"
SHOW, DON'T TELL your experience.
