Gratitude

My theme of 2025

Last Thursday was Thanksgiving over in the US.

With around 50% of Growth Genie revenue coming from North America, it’s a holiday I’ve come to appreciate over the years.

This year, I’ve realized how often I lack gratitude in my life.

Whenever I hit a milestone in my personal or business life, I instantly focus on the next achievement VS being grateful for what I have.

So this is going to be one of those cheesy newsletters in which I state 11 things I’m grateful for (in no particular order):

  1. All of you who read the newsletter

  2. Those of you who’ve been kind enough to reply with positive feedback

  3. My mum, 79 and dad, 83 who are still alive, and the amazing life they’ve given me

  4. My 2 brothers and my great relationship with them

  5. My nephew Nate who’s 18 and teaching me about the next generation

  6. My wonderful fiancée Ana who makes me a better person every day

  7. The love of God and the faith he gives me

  8. Our customers who invested in a small company

  9. Our sales trainers, Mike Sanchez and Kat Mckeever, who our clients love

  10. My sales sidekick Lawrence who a prospect said “is the best SDR he’s ever seen”

  11. The roof over my head, the clothes on my back and the food I eat

Although, this isn’t typical of my sales content, I’ll say this:

Being grateful for all the things in your control VS being resentful for those that aren’t is the base psychology of the best salespeople I’ve trained.

Happy belated Thanksgiving y’all!
