It still works

The C suite (CEOs, CFOs, CMOs etc.) are more likely to answer cold calls than VPs & directors.

This is based on Koncert data analysing millions of calls. And it matches my personal experience. You can see the data here:

It takes 14 calls to reach a VP or director but just 11 for the C level.

So why is this?

VPs and directors are buried in sick leave, 1-on-1s and performance reviews. They're back to back all day.

The C suite? They're more focused on strategy, planning and reporting. That gives you windows to actually catch them.

I interviewed a CEO of an 800 person tech company. He told me he gets 1,000+ emails a week.

But B2B cold calls? Almost none. Just useless B2C ones.

His inbox is a warzone. His phone line is wide open. So stop sending that 12th follow-up email to the CEO.
