AI replacing you

I recently ran the below poll and the results were shocking:

I had expected humans to win but not by such a long way. It just goes to show how the founders investing heavily in AI are disconnected from their customers.

BUT salespeople should be using AI, just not for customer facing parts of the funnel. We have a module on using AI in sales and the first slide is a shocking one:

“Will AI replace salespeople?”

My answer is it will replace lazy salespeople but not the best ones who can connect with their fellow humans. The best salespeople will:

  • Ask AI to research an account for a discovery call or cold email. They will then link the research to a pain about their buyer that AI doesn’t know about

  • Ask AI to shorten their LinkedIn post but not write the whole post itself

  • Ask AI to find other stakeholders at an account but then call all of those stakeholders themselves

Use AI as your assistant. Not to replace what makes you human.
